Aluminium tracks play a crucial role in the installation of invisible grills, acting as the main structural support for the stainless-steel cables. These tracks are typically made from high-grade aluminium alloys like T6061, known for their strength, lightweight nature, and corrosion resistance. The standard thickness of these tracks is around 2.00 mm, and they come in various sizes, commonly 2 to 3 inches wide. Stainless steel bolts with nylon washers are used to fix the cables into the tracks, spaced evenly (usually 50 to 100 mm apart) to ensure a firm grip and balanced tension across the entire frame. The aluminium finish is usually rustproof and designed to withstand weather exposure, especially in high-rise or coastal environments. During installation, the aluminium tracks are mounted securely on the top and bottom of the window or balcony opening. The stainless-steel cables are then passed through pre-drilled holes in the track, pulled taut, and locked in place to form a vertical or horizontal grid. Cover caps and weather-resistant end fittings are added to give a clean, seamless look and to protect the hardware from dust and moisture. These aluminium tracks ensure the invisible grill system remains sturdy, safe, and visually discreet, combining modern aesthetics with long-lasting functionality.
